The Light-Devouring Darkness is the second studio album by war metal band Archgoat.
Like its predecessor Whore of Bethlehem, this album The Light-Devouring Darkness applies the same formula of Beherit inspired chromatic power chords with Phantom-esque tremolo-picked riff melodies.
The problem with this kind of war metal, or bestial black metal, is that it quickly becomes formulaic and tiresome.
Not bad black metal, not good black metal, just okay black metal for distracted listening.
