Whore of Bethlehem is the debut studio album by the war metal band Archgoat.
Very much in the style of Phantom and Beherit, Whore of Bethlehem is typical in the sort of ritualistic black metal based on slow, chromatic power chords that defined Beherit's early sound, and the tremolo picked dissonant sections are reminiscent of Phantom's Fallen Angel.
All in all, Whore of Bethlehem is unremarkable without being good, and sterile without being bad.
The same can be said about much of Archgoat's music.
