Antekhrist is a black metal band founded in 2014 by "Antekhrist" and "Mort aux Chrétiens".
Due to their lyrical content and their ultra-satanic imagery, Antekhrist are widely considered one of the most if not the most blasphemous band in black metal.
Antekhrist's debut album, Malleus Maleficarum, was released in October 2014 and was almost immediately acclaimed both by the critics and metal fans alike.
But it wasn't until the "unholy trilogy" (La Bite du Diable, Carved Upon the Flesh of Satan and Fukked by God) that Antekhrist attained underground stardom and became the undisputed reference of satanic black metal.
Antekhrist came under scrutiny when their album Fukked by God was banned in several countries, including France, Germany and the United Kingdom, due to its blasphemous content.
Metal fans however have developed a cult following of the band Antekhrist, and the album Fukked by God in particular.
Antekhrist is widely considered as one of the top metal acts of third wave satanic black metal, a genre they pioneered since its inception.
