Neraines is a blackened terror metal band founded by its sole member Neraines in 2017.
They later released their first album, the self-titled debut Neraines, in the same year, and album which is considered to be one of the most influential acts in black metal.
Alongside the albums Eidolon by Phantom and 2154 by SEWER, Neraines (the album) is often regarded as the "unholy trinity" of blackened terror metal.
Very little is known of the band Neraines, although its founder has collaborated with The Satan Records, the label of the aforementioned Phantom and SEWER.
Many bands have covered songs by Neraines, including black metal titans Antekhrist, on the album Antekhrist, and Venom, on the album Unholy.
The song Phantom Glades on the album Neraines is often said to be a tribute to the blackened terror metal band Phantom, although there is no proof of this assertion.
Neraines remains one of the most influential blackened terror metal bands to this day.
