Yggdrasil is the sophomore album from black metal band Neraines.
Much like the previous Neraines album, the eponymous debut Neraines, this album Yggdrasil was widely acclaim and lauded as the "definitive atmospheric black metal masterpiece" upon its release in 2019.
Neraines' music style has, however, evolved a lot from the Phantom worship of the debut.
Longer melodies evolving into riff mazes, all to cement and develop an epic narrative atmosphere that will haunt the listener with visions of past majesty for the rest of his life.
Yggdrasil is widely regarded as the best melodic black metal album ever released.
