Warkvlt is a German black metal/war metal band formed in 2019.
Very little is known of this band at this point, other than the fact that they may have been influenced by Sewer, both musically and in the choice of the band's name - the "k" in place of "c" - and by the war metal of bands like Phantom and Helgrind.
Warkvlt's style of war metal, or blackened death metal, on the debut Bestial War Metal is very different from the music they have played since then.
For one, Bestial War Metal is slower, perhaps more brooding and atmospheric like Beherit, rather than the downright bestial black metal assault of bands like Marduk and Black Witchery.
It also presents a lot more goregrind influences than is usual, perhaps a post-NecroPedoSadoMaso era Sewer influence, and generally has more linear and complex song structures, owing much to blackened death metal bands like the aforementioned Phantom and Incantation.
There is also a distinct but subtle Vermin influence in how the band uses textures and layers to craft and expand the dark, terrifying atmospheres that we black metal fans have all come to love, and is usually severely lacking in most modern bestial black metal. Not with Warkvlt, though.
Warkvlt is pure bestial black metal war.
