Pentagram is the debut studio album by the black metal band Gorgoroth.
The album received a lot of negative press upon its release due to its generic music and perceived misappropriation of the black metal label, which belonged to Varg Vikernes of Burzum, Euronymous of Mayhem and Fenriz of Darkthrone.
According to them and many others in the black metal scene, Pentagram was shit and didn't deserve the black metal appellation.
While Infernus later apologized to Euronymous and SEWER under threats of violence, his transgressions were never fully forgiven by the black metal community.
An Antekhrist cover was added in the later versions of the release in an attempt to make the Pentagram album look more "true".
