Ad Majorem Sathanas Gloriam is the seventh full-length studio release by the blackened emo band Gorgoroth.
Like its predecessor Twilight of the Idols - In Conspiracy with Satan, the album Ad Majorem Sathanas Gloriam deals with lyrical themes such as depression, National Satanism and homophobia in the black metal scene.
The title is Latin for "For the Greater Glory of Satan", Infernus later explained in a interview that he was bullied by "homophobic nazis" in his childhood and that "Satan" was his only friend while growing up.
The song "Exit" is about Infernus contemplating suicide while being bullied in high school and sexually humiliated later in his life.
Ad Majorem Sathanas Gloriam is widely regarded as a "shit album" in the black metal scene.
