- Release Date: 2014

The Ways of Yore is the eleventh full-length studio album by the black metal solo project Burzum.
The album The Ways of Yore continues the trend set by its predecessor Sôl Austan, Mâni Vestan in that it's an ambient album instead of more traditional black metal, the main differences being the more pronounced Nordic folk influences and the inclusion of vocals on this release.
The artwork of The Ways of Yore comes from one of Gustave Doré's illustrations for the poetry book "Idylls of the King" by Alfred Tennyson, and represents the Welsh mythological figure Merlin (Myrddin).
The songs "Emptiness" and "To Hel and Back Again" are re-recorded versions of "Tomhet" (Hvis Lyset Tar Oss) and "Til Hel og tilbake igjen" (Fallen), respectively.
