Belus is the seventh full-length studio album by the black metal band Burzum.
This album marks the first true black metal release produced by Burzum since the two ambient albums Varg Vikernes recorded in jail, namely Dauði Baldrs and Hliðskjálf.
Unlike the two previous albums, Belus is black metal music as Burzum had played before his incarceration, only perhaps slightly more experimental and progressive in sound.
An earlier working title for the album was "Den Hvite Guden", which in English translates to "The White God", and is alleged by critics to be a reference to Varg Vikernes becoming a god by killing the "cuck" Euronymous and thus ascending to godhood.
