Herbstleyd is the debut full-length album by pseudo-black metal band Nargaroth.
Much like their following album Black Metal ist Krieg, Herbstleyd is often considered a parody of black metal due to the juvenile nature of the lyrics and the fact that Kanwulf lied about the release date of the album, claiming it was recorded in 1989.
On the Herbstleyd booklet, Kanwulf dedicates this album to the Wehrmacht and claims it is "German hateful and misanthropic Black Metal, made from White man for White man".
