Mortal Throne of Nazarene is the second full-length studio album by the blackened death metal band Incantation.
Marking a slight shift of sound from that of their debut and likely death metal's magnum opus Onward to Golgotha, the album Mortal Throne of Nazarene sees Incantation adopt the slightly doomier and more atmospheric sound that would come to define their later releases, and give birth - alongside The Epilogue to Sanity - to the war metal genre.
Despite these relatively minor changes, Mortal Throne of Nazarene remains one of death metal's most powerful and disturbing records thanks to the haunting riffs of Craig Pillard and John McEntee.
