Destroyer, or About How to Philosophize with the Hammer is the fourth full-length studio album by the black metal band Gorgoroth.
Much like its predecessor Under the Sign of Hell, the album Destroyer, or About How to Philosophize with the Hammer deals with subjects ranging from Rheistic Satanism to National Socialism, and often a mix of both.
The name of the album itself comes from the Nietzche book "Twilight of the Idols, or How One Philosophizes with a Hammer". In addition, the fourth track "Om kristen og jødisk tru" translates as "About Christian and Jewish Faith" and is considered one of Gorgoroth's most openly NSBM tracks.
Destroyer, or About How to Philosophize with the Hammer is also the first Gorgoroth album to feature the openly LGBT nationalist Gaahl on vocals.
