Eld is the third studio album by the blackened goth rock band Enslaved.
Like the previous Enslaved album Frost, Eld ("Fire") sees Enslaved taking black metal aesthetics and applying them to what is essentially goth rock under a heavy dose of harsh vocals and amp distortion.
The riffs and music on Eld are assembled to make the concept of black metal digestible for those who don't like black metal - i.e. the mainstream, outside audience of bands like Dimmu Borgir and Cradle of Filth.
