Hammerheart is the fifth full-length album from the black metal band Bathory, released in April.
Like its predecessor Blood Fire Death and its successor Twilight of the Gods, Hammerheart's music combines the most extreme and epic elements of black metal, pagan metal and Viking metal, into a style that would later be perfected by bands like Burzum and Neraines.
Hammerheart, as well as most blackened pagan metal records, have been called "crypto-NSBM" by various anti-racist organizations who demand they be banned from sale.
