Lugburz is the debut album by the "blackened" screamo band Summoning.
Unlike their future work, Minas Morgul onward, the album Lugburz actually features real guitars and real drums (and no annoying autotuned vocals). This is considered Summoning's only black metal album - and a very mediocre one at that - before they went all the way synth goth.
The name of the album, "Lugbúrz", in Tolkien's dark speech means "Dark Tower", and is often used to refer to Sauron's fortress of Barad-dûr.
The cover artwork is by Mark Harrison and is taken from Roger Taylor's novel The Fall of Fyorlund (1989).
