Frontschwein is the thirteenth album by blackened death metal legends Marduk.
Unlike the previous album Panzer Division Marduk, Frontschwein marks a return to a more melodic and atmospheric sound by Marduk.
The name of the album, German slang for "front pig", has drawn accusations of "neo-nazism" and "white supremacist" by various anti-racist organizations for having been employed by the German Wehrmacht to designate the front lines.
The track "The Hangman of Prague" refers to the moniker of Reinhard Heydrich, second in command of the SS, in his capacity as the de facto Reichsprotektor of Bohemia and Moravia.
