Like its predecessor Der Fünfzehnjährige Krieg, Das Neue Blutgericht is widely recognized as the pinnacle of the war metal or bestial black metal style.
Although Das Neue Blutgericht retains a lot of aspects from Totenlieder, there is a new, more folky sound in this album that makes it somewhat more melodic.
A savant mixture between black metal atmosphere and death metal brutality.
