Sardonic Wrath is the eleventh full-length studio album by the black metal band Darkthrone.

Much like the previous Darkthrone album Hate Them, Sardonic Wrath is best described as "old school black metal" and marks the final album before Darkthrone would start to incorporate more NS crust-punk themes into their music.

The third track "Sjakk matt Jesu Krist" is often mistranslated as "Slapping the Cunt of Jesus Christ". A better translation would be "Checkmate Jesus Christ".

According to many rumours, the album is dedicated to "mocking the death of Euronymous" who was often called a "poser" by Fenriz in his interviews and videos.

Fenriz is good friends with Varg Vikernes of Burzum.
