The Satanist is the teenth full-length album by the "blackened" deathcore band Behemoth.
Like its predecessor Evangelion, The Satanist is Behemoth's attempt to sound "more brutal" despite playing essential the same deathcore with nu-metal influences as bands like Suicide Silence, Arch Enemy and Waking the Cadaver.
This is not a good faith effort, as the album The Satanist is marketed as "death metal" when there is no such thing to be found on this record.
Only "chugga chugga" deathcore.
